Everyone here at Buffalo Niagara Introductions hopes you’ve all had a wonderful Holiday season and a happy New Year! With Winter holidays behind us, we feel that it’s a good time to reiterate some of the basic rules of the service.
First, gentlemen, when you receive new matches, please make sure to contact them within 48 hours of receiving their information. This ensures that you’ll be able to meet everyone before the next month’s matching commences. Ladies, please return messages left by your matches as promptly as possible. This goes for second and third dates as well; follow-through is very important. Remember to keep phone conversations to a 5 minute maximum; real conversation should be saved for your face to face meeting!
Feedback is one of the most important aspects of your membership with Buffalo Niagara Introductions; not only does it help us to match you more appropriately in the future, but it helps us uncover patterns in your dating history, which can then be addressed and resolved, if necessary. Please note in section 2 of your contract that BNI reserves the right to suspend your membership (Administrative Hold) for repeatedly not providing feedback after your dates.
Topics for dates should NOT include politics, religion, past relationships, sex, trauma from childhood, medications, or the Buffalo Niagara Introductions service. Great things to talk about on first dates are interests, hobbies, career, current events, travel plans/history, movies, music, cuisine, books, and the like.
Please refrain from using text messaging as a form of communication with your matches. Some people do not use texting, and messages can also become lost over the airwaves. As a traditional matchmaking service, we ask that all correspondence be via phone calls and in-person meetings. E-mail is okay for contacting our office only. If we feel that you are not abiding by this rule, or any other rules, your account may be subject to administrative hold.
If you are going to be out of town or unable to meet matches during a particular month, please let us know before the beginning of the month-- before the matching commences. Of course there are always extenuating circumstances, and we are more than happy to work with you as long as you let us know.
